How is silver’s market cap calculated?
Estimated total value = 55,942,218,000 troy ounces × $61.09 per ounce. This values the estimated metal stock; it is not the market cap of a mining company, ETF or backed token.
Supply source: USGS, cumulative mined production (2024 estimate). Unlike gold, much of the silver ever mined was industrially consumed and dispersed. This total therefore overstates recoverable stock, and the price is derived from a single backed token rather than two.
The price is derived from Kinesis Silver via CoinGecko, using 1 available backed-token source. Token prices can trade above or below the underlying metal; this is not a direct bullion spot quote.
